About Our Company
COST EFFECTIVE SIGNALLING DESIGN SOLUTIONS
Specialising primarily in signalling, we provide flexible support to a variety of other disciplines without the need for full scale mobilisation.
Whether you require an assessment, plan, sketch or even full scale detailed design services, Mosaic Rail can provide you with the necessary skills to deliver either as a delivery partner or embedded within an existing project team.
We are happy to work alongside local authorities, developers and also other rail project stakeholders.
Our core aim is to provide a high quality service without making signalling design interfaces and alterations unnecessarily expensive as we do not have the huge overheads and framework ties the larger more established companies carry.
We firmly believe this is actively driving away much needed investment in railway infrastructure and we aim to provide best value for taxpayer investment.
Whatever your requirements, Mosaic Rail Ltd can support you in a variety of capabilities for single discipline or multi-disciplinary schemes.
We have over 100 years combined experience of delivering multi-discipline projects in the UK from signalling renewals through to multi million pound re-signalling projects.
We pride ourselves on being proactive in the development of the early GRIP stages to allow a smooth transition into the delivery and ultimate commissioning of our projects.
This reduces potential change to the scope of works allowing costs to be kept to a minimum.
Our team works hard to ensure overheads are kept to a minimum by taking on more than one role within a project – something not offered by others!
People Behind Mosaic Rail
Tim began his railway career in 2000 in the design office as part of the minor works signalling team. His career branched out from signalling design into signalling site management and then project engineering and engineering management for major projects such as West Coast Route Modernisation and the 2012 olympics transport works. He has rounded knowledge of railway projects particularly with a signalling bias having worked on both the client and contractor side and understands the intricacies of project delivery and safety management.
Holding an Engineering Manager (Design) license, Tim’s role is to grow Mosaic Rail allowing us to deliver projects across the UK and worldwide cost effectively without compromising on safety or attention to detail.
His wealth of experience allows him to undertake Senior Design Engineer, Contractor’s Responsible Engineer, Project Engineering, Engineering Management and Design Management roles with Mosaic Rail.
Matt also began his railway career in 2000 working his way from a trainee designer through to an IRSE licensed principle design engineer. He has undertaken intensive signalling training to ensure he understands and appreciates the British signalling standards and principles and has helped deliver numerous multi-million pound projects across the UK including North Staffs, Manchester South, Peterborough, Gresty Lane, NWEP Phase 4 and Liverpool Lime St.
Matt has acted in Project Engineering, Lead Design Engineering and Contractor’s Responsible Engineering roles on behalf of clients and specialises in fringe design from conception through to delivery. His knowledge extends across different types of interlockings including mechanical, electro-mechanical, RRI and SSI/CBI.
Matt’s role is to provide technical advice and guidance to both the client and the design team allowing a more efficient design process to be undertaken with minimal change.
He undertakes a variety of roles for Mosaic Rail including Senior Design Engineer, Contractor’s Responsible Engineer, Project Engineering and Design Management roles.
